About Shan Shan Noodles

Located at 333 US-46, Parsippany, NJ 07054, Shan Shan Noodles operates as a chinese noodle serving Parsippany in New Jersey. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as chinese restaurant, restaurant, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Parsippany; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in New Jersey are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.

The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 11:30 am–8 pm. It is closed on Monday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Shan Shan Noodles at (973) 287-7399; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, shanshannoodles.com.

Blown away with everything about Shan Shan Noodles. From the moment we walked in and were greeted warmly by the waitress (owner?), we were well taken care of. She helped guide us through the menu to pick out a good balance of dishes to share: scallion pancake, pork soup dumplings, dumplings in vinegar soup, cumin lamb over hand-pulled noodles, shrimp fried hand-pulled noodles, Kung Pao chicken, and beef with hand-pulled noodles soup. Everything was delicious - fresh and flavorful! The texture of the noodles was different in each dish, with distinctive seasoning. Definitely take advantage of the scissors for serving! My favorite was the lamb with flat, wide noodles and the Kung Pao chicken. Best ever! Enjoyed the Thai iced tea boba and the starter cucumber salad, too. We'll be back!

The food was really good, the hand pulled noodles are fantastic, and their soup dumplings were some of the best I've ever had. Definitely coming back.

Braised Beef noodle (4/5) - soup was flavorful, recommend skinny noodle to go with it. Had flat noodles with this, it was unable to grab the flavor of the soup. Cumin lamb over hand pulled noodle (4.5/5)- flavorful. Chewy texture of the Flat noodles goes well with this one. The lamb slices that I got was more fat than meat, could just be luck of the draw. Lamb hand pulled noodle soup (5/5)- Must try! Delicious soup. Skinny noodle grabs the flavor of the soup. Beef pancake (5/5) - another must try! The pancakes was the star of the dish. Crispy chewy, just perfect. Complimentry cucumber salad (4.5/5)- mild, refreshing. Good Service (5/5)- attentive, welcoming.
